Sam graduated from Trinity College of Music in 2006. Since then he has worked with some of the most acclaimed young artists in Jazz. As a performer, Sam has appeared with some of the most highly regarded jazz musicians in the UK and US including Will Vinson, Jonathon Kreisberg, Julian Siegel, Phil Robson and Phil Donkin to name a few.

As a band leader, he has been widely recognized as an exciting new arrival on the UK jazz scene with his critically acclaimed debut album, Synaesthesia, garnering extremely high praise from the press and public alike. 2010/11 saw The Sam Crowe Group perform sell out shows across the UK including London Jazz Festival, Brecon International Jazz Festival, Ronnie Scott’s and Pizza Express Dean St.

He has just recorded his second album of original compositions in New York with a cast of some of the most talked about young musicians in jazz including Mark Guiliana, Will Vinson, Alan Hampton, Adam Waldmann, Will Davies and Gretchen Parlato. Release will be March 2013 on Whirlwind Recordings

Sam has also composed music for films including songs for French/Canadian production ‘Lullaby For Pi’ starring Forrest Whittaker, Clemence Poesy and Rupert Friend. He has also scored pictures including Rupert Friend’s short ‘STEVE’ starring Colin Firth and Keira Knightley.
