Output of Ingrid Laubrock's Jerwood Jazz Generation commission for Cheltenham Jazz Festival 2007, this exiting project brings together some of the most sought after musicians of the cutting-edge jazz scene.

Exploiting the different textures afforded by the unusual instrumentation (including two pianos), this band plays forward-thinking improvisation entwined with structured cool jazz passages and exhilarating new music.

For this impressive project the F-IRE Collective's Tom Arthurs along with Emma Smith, James Allsopp and Liam Noble have been invited to join Ingrid Laubrock's Quintet (with Tom Rainey replacing Seb Rochford on drums).
