Output of Ingrid Laubrock's Jerwood Jazz Generation commission for Cheltenham Jazz Festival 2007, this exiting project brings together the most sought musicians of the cutting-edge jazz scene.

Exploiting the different textures afforded by the unusual instrumentation (including two pianos!), this band plays forward-thinking improvisation entwined with structured cool jazz passages and exhilarating new music.

For this impressive project, Tom Arthurs from F-IRE Collective along with Emma Smith, James Allsopp and Liam Noble have been invited outstanding musicians to join Ingrid Laubrock Quintet (with Tom Rainey replacing Seb Rochford on drums).
