Tom Arthurs and Ollie Bown (of Icarus) have been working together since January 2004, united by common interests in electronic and improvised music and the aim of devising fluid and meaningful interaction between instruments and computers. Exploring live and studio work in parallel, the electric duo have developed a personal and multifaceted soundworld, bringing together live and sampled sound, as well as composition and improvisation. Deliberately setting out to avoid the cliché of processed instrumental sound, the duo have developed interactive systems using Max/MSP to create a seamlessly integrated 21st century music.

Their debut EP, out on Not Applicable is available and one of their tracks, Vero was recently featured on the 2nd F-IRE compilation Works 2. The duo recently collaborated with video artists Squint and Brittski on a commission from Lighthouse and have been appearing as part of a night of Not Applicable artists also including Isambard Khroustaliov, Lothar Ohlmeier and Maurizio Ravalico.
