Born in 1974 in France, Jonathan Bratoeff studied music at the "Aula de Jazz" in Barcelona, Spain, before moving to London in 1998. He released two albums on the F-IRE Label, Between Lines (2004) and Points of Perceptions (2006). He has played with Orphy Robinson, Soweto Kinch, Oscar Gudjonsson, Julian Seigel, Martin Speake amongst other and studied at the SIM in 2002 with Ralph Alesi, Jim Black, Steve Coleman, Dave Gilmore and  Brad Sheppick. Jonathan has written music for 4 theatre plays directed by Anastasia Revi: Five Kinds of Silences (2001), Urban Stories (2002), 4 Ever (2005) and Velvet Sratch (2007). He performs with his own quintet, Points of Perception, Porpoise Corpus (Peter Wittingham award winner), Splay, the F-ire large ensemble and many more.
