Although he first came to the public's notice when he was 21, and on the road with US soul diva, Jhelisa Anderson, Finn Peters has been developing his musical sensibilities since he was a kid. In 1999 he won the London heat for Young Jazz Musician of the Year. In seven years since leaving college he had recorded over forty records. Finn has worked with artists like IG Culture, Carl Cox, 2 Banks of Four, Rob Mello, Les Nubians and Trip Do Brasil, DJ Spinna and 4 Hero. Other recording credits include a long list of records with House Producer DJD, pop groups Shaft and Embrace, classicists Bond and Vanessa Mae, Grupo X, to name a few. He is a founder member of the contemporary classical group, Nosferatu, whose concerts have been featured on Radio 3 and continue to be popular on the contemporary music circuit. The Finn Peters Quintet also performs original music composed by Finn and other band members blending hip hop, contemporary music and funk at some of the country's most sought after venues. In 2006 his last album Su Ling was in the top 5 Jazz Albums of the Year on BBC1.
