Ingrid studied at the Guildhall School of Music with Jean Toussaint and Stan Sulzman and in the United States with David Liebman. In 1993 she met singer Monica Vasconcelos and guitarist Ife Tolentino, both from Sao Paulo in Brazil. Ingrid is one of the founder members of Brazilian quartet NOIS4 (formerly "As Meninas") and also long-time member of Monica Vasconcelos' 9 -piece band NOIS and several F-IRE bands. Ingrid was nominated for a BBC Jazz Award Rising Star in 2005 and was awarded a Fellowship in Jazz Composition by the Arts Foundation in 2006 and was commissionned by Jerwood Foundation Jazz Generation in 2007. She performed with Kenny Wheeler, Evan Parker, Norma Winstone, David Liebman, Billy Cobham, Django Bates' Human Chain, Veryan Weston, Lol Coxhill, Jazz Jamaica Allstars, Antonio Forcione, Gary Husband, Julian Siegel, Byron Wallen, Gene Calderazzo, Liam Noble, Billy Jenkins, Hans Koller Big Band and many more.
