Robert's last album received critical acclaim and this new album has already garnered much media interest
The album will be launched at Pizza Express Jazz Club as part of Lifting the Lid: A Celebration of Modern Solo Piano.
Album release and festival has dedicated publicist Helen Maleed working on media coverage
Robert's new solo album, Equinox, originally a BBC Radio 3/Jerwood commission, comprises 12 pieces with a common philosophical thread, as Robert explains: Equinox is a suite of prayers for peace and balance. For example: Agenda for Change, an improvisation built from seven notes, is all about embracing the spirit of encouraging change - without knowing the exact outcome. The Envoy was originally for Kofi Annan but its dedication has since expanded and is now for anyone involved in global peacekeeping.
Robert also leads the six-piece group Panacea. Its second album, Trust, was released on F-IRE in 2005. 2006 saw the release of the critically acclaimed Bridges, a duo album with Cuban virtuoso violinist Omar Puente.
