Best known for her work with 2007 Mercury nominees Basquiat Strings, young Scottish violinist Vicky Fifield here leads her own quartet on their self-titled debut album Vicky Fifield & Devotion. Originally formed in the midst of the 2006 Edinburgh Festival, the band brings together some of Scotland's most exciting and creative talents. Coming from a mixed background of classical, jazz and folk music, Fifield's compositions display elements borrowed from all of these styles presented in a delicate and melodic way.
